Heartbreakers

These thoughts are based on only ONE viewing, and all I could really focus on was that the look, tone, atmosphere and overall vibe of the film was polar opposite of what I was expecting, based on how it was marketed. One review I read said this was more like a European relationship drama than a cliched 80s rom-com, and to me that nails it. Add in dashes of comedy here and there, and set it in LA instead of some charming, French summer village, and you sort of have 'Heartbreakers.' But if anything it's one of the more "real 80s" films I can remember which earns this one a fairly confident recommendation from me.
