Licorice Pizza

Now that I've been able to sit on the first viewing for about 6 months, before re-watching in the wee hours of the morning - the late night nostalgia of the west coast joining the rest of the nation in deep sleep. The setting for a rewatch was perfect. And yes, my feelings have not changed, just simply confirmed. It's a good film. Nothing more or less. Like most or all of Anderson's films, for me there is something missing that I still can't pinpoint, that should bring his films together by their conclusions: I love the setting. The atmosphere. The tone. The relaxed vibe of it all. The acting was great. There's not really anything WRONG here per se. What's wrong is something is missing. If anyone has any guesses, please share.
