Pleasure

A pleasurable surprise.

It may sound a bit cliché to say "it takes a woman to direct something like this," but I think the evidence on screen makes it clear. This film digs deep, quietly ... softly, but with precision. And it respects its subject, letting Bella's humanity reveal itself, with director Thyberg providing the space and room for the audience to discover on their own time. Highly recommended.
