Reality
A short, simple and to-the-point film that also, as one of the reviews on the poster says, fascinates, and for me it was for two reasons.
First was the overall vibe of the film, at times almost feeling Lynchian in a way, with long pauses, an interesting sound design at times, some "strange" moments here and there all leading to a feeling of uncertainty as to where the movie was headed. Combine that with it's clear and obvious roots as a stage play (also from this film's writer and director, Tina Satter), and this simply has a fascinating feeling and tone to it which was a huge plus, as what is actually happening on screen is quite minimal.
Secondly is Sydney Sweeney, an up-and-coming actress, or really more than that: she's Hollywood's current "it girl," and despite enjoying her in other productions, especially 'Euphoria,' I thought this project did her a great service, to showcase that she's not going to just be a passing phenomenon of an actor, but she has the chops for a long career, and she really shows it here, while still servicing the film and the character's overall calm and quiet demeanor.
Nevermind the dull plot of FBI search warrants, and even the very contemporary and timely story. The short running time really helps the subject matter, and along with a great performance, there's really no excuse for not checking this out.
