Saltburn

It’s fine. I got through it. Don’t understand the “passionate” reactions, either in favor of the film, or against. It’s just …. there.

Shot lovingly without question, and I loved Emerald’s first, Promising Young Woman, but this … I don’t know it felt like she was trying to find something to say amongst all the glamour, beauty and privilege, and somehow coming up empty.

This is not a terrible sophomore effort by any means - I still very much look forward to what Emerald does next - but I expected either similar quality, or more from this promising young woman.
