The Class of '74

"I wanna make love. I wanna BALL!"

Screened on Film Masters blu-ray

There's not much to say about 1972's The Class of '74, due its very, very simple plot, if one can even call it that. It is however a great time capsule, a description I tend to use more and more often when finding positive angles on films that otherwise could be considered lacking. One thing this is not lacking is boobs, so if that strikes your fancy, you'll actually find that "presentation" relatively tasteful and plentiful. I guess that makes this hippiesploitation "feminist" to many, as I'm not sure how it would be described that way other than for the nudity not being strictly gratuitous, in this portrayal about the sexual awakening of a young conservative woman attending college with her sexually liberal friends in California. This film is actually kind of charming in a strange way that is hard to describe. Sexual liberation via very, very, very, very soft porn, I suppose. VERY soft. The almost "elegant" approach was rather innocent and strongly early 70s, and along with the fashions, cars and California shooting locations of the era I would recommend this. If you know what you're signing up here for, you may actually find it a pleasant surprise. Give it a shot!
