The Sadness

Technically proficient, without question. However, some uses of extreme violence felt far more interested in “shocking” viewers than focusing on the story they’re trying to tell, and/or building the characters instead of, oh, I don’t know … skull-fucking them, after having their eyes shot out during another horrific attack? It just felt cheap and lazy, souring the rest of the film’s chances, imo.
