The film veered into surrealism for a slightly strange 10-15 minutes but quickly recovered to fulfill the promise of its sharp beginning. The friendship between the two leads felt genuine and along with their performances, anchored this debut from Ms Wilde as more than just “a female Superbad” (and not because of Ms Feldstein’s relation to Jonah Hill). A strong recommendation.
