The reviews are right - this is the closest we've had to a John Hughes movie since his passing in 2009. A lot of it can be owed to a masterful performance from Hailee Steinfeld, who nails the mix of female teen angst and humor as good as Linda Cardellini's Lindsay character in 'Freaks & Geeks'. Superb, fun film.
