Went into this one cautiously as one of Lanthimos' latest films, 'The Lobster,' felt nothing but insufferable to me at its best. Here however the vision is focused, with his offbeat sense of dark, clinical humor the perfect match to the excessive grandeur of 18th-century England, or really, any monarchy you can think of. Wicked and delicious all at once, with an unbeatable ensemble cast.
